Leasing Coordinator
At SMI Property Management, we’re dedicated to strengthening our talented team to deliver exceptional service to both property owners and tenants. We’re currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Coordinator to join our Keizer office.
POSITION: Leasing Coordinator
OVERVIEW: The Leasing Coordinator supports the resident onboarding process from screening approval through move-in. This role is responsible for reviewing applicant screenings, coordinating move-in logistics, preparing lease documentation, entering resident and rental information into property management software, and serving as the primary point of contact during the final stages of the leasing process. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with excellent administrative skills and the ability to manage multiple move-in timelines with precision and professionalism.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review completed screening reports for accuracy and completeness
- Communicate with approved applicants regarding next steps and move-in requirements
- Coordinate and confirm move-in dates with new residents and internal teams
- Prepare and issue lease agreements, addenda, and required move-in documentation
- Provide new residents with welcome materials, property rules, and contact information
- Enter new resident information, rental terms, rent amounts, and security deposits into property management software
- Coordinate door lock changes prior to scheduled move-in dates
- Ensure all move-in tasks are completed and documented according to company procedures
- Maintain accurate digital records of lease files, communication logs, and move-in timelines
- Collaborate with leasing, maintenance, and property management teams to ensure units are move-in ready
- Transition resident communication to the on-site or property management team upon completion of move-in
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in leasing, administrative, or office support in property management.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail, especially with documentation and data entry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and property management software (e.g., AppFolio, Tenant Tech, etc.)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Professional and customer-focused demeanor
SCHEDULE, COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-time | Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: This is an in-office position based at our Keizer office, with occasional visits to properties. Remote work is not available.

Maintenance Technician I-II - Corvallis
SMI Property Management is a locally owned and operated property management company poised for growth and looking to expand our maintenance department. We have permanent full-time positions available and are seeking motivated individuals to join our team! Duties:
- Routinely perform a wide variety of building maintenance and mechanical work.
- Diagnose and repair electrical fixtures. (Light fixtures, outlets, switches, smoke alarms, Carbon monoxide detectors)
- Diagnose and repair minor plumbing and installations. (Sinks, toilets, garbage disposals, leaky pipes)
- Performs general drywall repair and painting
- Repair fences, decks Install vinyl / laminate flooring
- Repair / replace interior & exterior pre-hung doors / slabs
- Clean property grounds of trash and debris
- Exhibit excellent communication skills with residents and property management
- Responsible for reporting unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property to the Community Manager and/or Property Manager, or if they are not able to be reached, to their supervisor(s)
- Practice safe driving as set forth in the Driver’s Safety Addendum and maintain a safe and acceptable driving record in the State of Oregon
- Responsible for the upkeep and care of the company and property provided equipment / tools
- Attend safety meetings and comply with workplace & OSHA safety procedures
- Practice safe work duties at all times
- Maintain and ensure a professional appearance and attitude with co-workers and tenants at all times
- Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Perform other tasks not mentioned above but as mutually agreed with SMI.
Requirements:
- Maintenance experience preferred
- Must have own tools
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must have a valid driver's license company vehicle
- Must be able to follow directions and learn quickly
- Must have a positive and helpful attitude with a team mentality, but also able to work well independently
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must pay attention to detail, be service oriented, and have an excellent work ethic

Student Housing Apartment Community Manager - Corvallis

Duties:
- Oversee all daily operations of the property, including leasing, resident relations, maintenance coordination, and vendor management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with residents to foster a sense of community
- Ensure leasing goals are met and maintain high occupancy levels
- Manage schedules, rent collections, and property records
- Enforce community rules and policies fairly and consistently
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, university partners, and vendors
Requirements:
- Minimum 2-5 years student housing experience required
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to connect with residents and promote a positive community culture
